PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP SERIES
Monday 17 – Wednesday 19 October
99% of our decisions, motivations & reactions are influenced by automatic non-conscious processes, that means that most of the time we are on auto-pilot. Understanding what drives behavior and leveraging this to optimize the brain’s strengths and minimize it’s limitations is key to enhancing performance, relationships and health.
This pre-conference series takes a brain-based approach to complex leadership issues. Learn how the brain works, its fundamental need to feel safe, and the implications of psychological safety on the individual, manager and team.
The series is designed to build from individual, to manager, to team, however each workshop can be taken as a stand alone. Join us for the series, or for the workshops of your choice:
Diversity & Inclusion (17 Oct)
The issue of Diversity and Inclusion is not just an issue for the workplace but is becoming a greater issue for society as a whole, world-wide. In this workshop we delve deeper into the biases that affect each of us as we interact with other people.
Manager as Coach (18 Oct)
Coaching is an essential skill for all managers and leaders to become masters at. This workshop examines the brain basis for a new approach to coaching conversations and introduces a brain-based coaching framework.
High Performing Teams (19 Oct)
Most work gets done through teams. Here we take a look at the issue of psychological safety, as the basis for high-performing teams. We examine in more detail the issue of individual psychological safety and how that impacts the development of a team through the team’s life cycle.
