Building a psychologically safe culture . . .
In a study conducted from 2008-2010, 75% of the corporate population indicated their greatest stressor at work was their boss (2008-2010 Hogan). Other research has indicated that 50-65% of managers will derail/self destruct within a five year period.
Leaders think and influence others thinking for a living, often in environments of pressure and complexity. These environments of complexity and uncertainty are the enemy of the brain, they inhibit its ability to think and perform, impacting effectiveness, creativity and productivity.
Understanding the nonsconscious drivers of behavior, motivations and decisions of themselves, and those they lead, provides an opportunity for leaders to create ‘psychologically safe’ environments that optimize the brain’s strengths and minimize its limitations.
The S.A.F.E.T.Y.TM Series explores the brain-based application across self, another, team and organization. The objective is to make this knowledge more accessible and reveal key insights into how our brains work, change and perform. Delivered in real time, either in person or virtually, workshops target core leadership and organizational challenges, including:
|• High Performing Teams
• Diversity & Inclusion
|• Manager as Coach
